The focus point of Qi goes around the body in a single day, with each meridian having the strongest part of the Qi for around 2 hours. In between each meridian, there is a “cusp” effect, where the Qi is moving out of one organ into another. Each of the colours below shows the paired organs, with the Yin organs being next to each other,

Therefore the Qi will travel either between paired organs, or from Yin organ to Yin organ, or from Yang organ to Yang organ.
