Teaching Our Courses
Pre-Application
You must have attended your course under one of our instructors and completed your case studies gaining you a diploma in the subject you wish to teach. You will then also need to gain a certificate of competency via a practical exam (see “exams and certificates of competency” in diplomas section).
Application
You can apply for a teaching license for this directly from Japan. Our UK external examiners and accreditation team will contact you and discuss further your requirements. Once we have all the details you can purchase your direct license from Japan which will cover your licensing and training costs.
Stage 1
You will be required to attend the course you wish to teach a second time (we can provide a 50% discount) and fill in specific teaching notes and key details of the course.
Stage 2
is to become an assistant on the course alongside a lead teacher and become familiar with the teachings and techniques incorporated throughout the course. You will also write specific notes on subjects covered orally and not mentioned in the manual and printed materials.
Stage 3
allows you to start to teach the course along side a lead instructor and be assessed as well as provided with feedback to help you improve your teaching and subject coverage. This stage may need to be repeated until you are at a level to fully lead and teach the course.
Stage 4
is your final assessment and accreditation via the external assessors and examiners who will observe you teaching in a lead role and examine your students for capability and knowledge to test the effectiveness of the teaching style.
Stage 5
Advertise your course dates and location according to your licensing. Clients will be booked via the main portal and your students will be registered and qualified after the course completion on the Japanese and UK website. Your course must be recorded live to Japan for final and ongoing assessments, feedback will be provided to help you improve and provide the best possible teaching for your clients.
Accrediting Your Own Course
We will work with your current course or course idea and build in specific teaching methods and structure to your course. We will write manuals for the course and cover the UK requirements for health and safety related to your course. We will include areas recommended within the skills for health as well as design practical exercises to enhance and make the course fun and functional to your clients.
Application
Once you have a fixed idea of your course then you can apply via our UK external examiners and accreditation team who will then contact you and discuss your course and requirements.
Stage 1
A course designer will meet with you and discuss the course and obtain any information you have regarding this including any paperwork, manuals, handouts, etc. that you may have.
Stage 2
If this is a current course an instructor will attend your course and collect information and make notes regarding this so we can feel and see how this currently works as well as full understand the course and subject area.
Stage 3
One of our researchers will compile the information into a standard manual format including additional research, health and safety, skills for health key areas. We will also design pre course send outs, practical information sheets and if required any health and safety / knowledge tests to assess students and check for capability and understanding on the course.
Stage 4
Our instructors will develop key practical skills designed to cover all the areas for the practical side of the course.
Stage 5
The course will be taught using the new materials and format with a group of instructors and advanced practitioners as well as lay people to gain feedback and insight as to the smooth running of the course.
Stage 6
Once complete and you are happy with everything we will apply for it to be assessed by the UK examiner and assessment team and registered as a fully qualified course. Once complete, website text and course information will be designed and the course will go live.
Stage 7
Your course then has options and if you wish this can be offered out to be taught under license (you will receive royalties) via other instructors world wide and you would be the lead teacher (paid role) in other people learning and teaching your course.
