For Practitioners
Why TTA?
The Therapy Association (TTA) is run by practitioners, for practitioners. We possess a deep, first-hand understanding of both the day-to-day clinical challenges you face and the broader strategic shifts required to advance the profession.
As a board member of both the British Acupuncture Federation and the Acupuncture Regulatory Authority, TTA ensures your voice is heard at the highest levels. We work tirelessly to resolve industry-wide concerns and strategically elevate the status of therapeutic practices across the UK.
A Proven Track Record: Our influence was vital during the COVID-19 lockdowns, where we successfully advocated for our members to be classified alongside other healthcare professionals, such as Osteopaths and Physiotherapists. This recognition by PHE allowed our practitioners to return to work fully by July 2020.

Member Benefits
Our membership often pays for itself through our exclusive cost-saving schemes. Beyond our host of Partner Discounts, TTA members gain access to:

Balens Affinity Insurance Scheme
We have partnered with Balens Specialist Insurance Brokers to provide TTA members with a bespoke Affinity Scheme Insurance Policy. This policy has been painstakingly designed to cover a wide range of therapies and adjunct treatments.
We are one of the few groups offering optional cover for specialized techniques like bloodletting and semi-permanent needles (ASP/press needles), which are often excluded from standard policies. Most policies also include automatic cover for various adjunct therapies such as cupping and gua sha.
Discounted Premiums
Your premium is based on your specific scope of practice. All policies provide an indemnity limit of £6,000,000.

TTA have organised acceptance of Total Therapy Association Registrants to be covered by the company policies below. However please ask your client to check their policy will cover the treatments first from a practitioner of the British Acupuncture Federation as many policies do not include acupuncture.
