Advanced Acupuncture – The Extraordinary Meridians

This course runs from 9:45am to approx 5pm each day.

This course teaches advanced techniques of Master Tung as well as other rarely taught, specialist family style acupuncture points and methods predating and not used in modern acupuncture.
We will have discussions and variations on Tung and other families’ variations and approaches to treatments.
Covering advanced protocols and older style family acupuncture to use the power of the Extraordinary Meridians.
Assessment is by observation of students performing the therapy during the practical sessions to establish safe practice. Each student must be observed practising correct, safe, protocol in order to be deemed safe to practice and gain a full certificate (Equates to 12 hours CPD).

The Extraordinary Meridians offer a profound and often underutilised dimension of acupuncture practice, providing access to deeper energetic patterns that influence physical, emotional, and constitutional health. This 2 day course is designed for qualified acupuncturists who wish to refine their skills and deepen their clinical impact by accessing these deeper energies and opening up their own possibilities to enable a greater ability to help others heal from physical, systemic or mental trauma.

You’ll explore the theory, functions, and clinical application of each of the Eight Extraordinary Meridians, with a focus on pulse diagnosis, treatment strategies, and needling techniques. The course is rich in practical content, giving you the tools to confidently integrate these pathways into your treatment planning.

Ideal for practitioners ready to take their acupuncture knowledge to the next level, this course enhances both diagnostic insight and therapeutic effectiveness—bringing a new depth to your client work.

You must hold a full body TCM or 5 Element Acupuncture qualification or another acupuncture qualification that uses acupuncture points, or be medically qualified/hold a 3 year degree level in Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy, or other high level therapist e.g. Chiropractor or Osteopath and have some practical pre-training in TCM Acupuncture (Not just theory).
TCM Acupuncture knowledge is essential for this course as we use TCM points, although you may be a student in TCM acupuncture if you have already started needling points.
You must be 18 years or older and understand spoken and written English.
You must consent to giving and receiving manual and acupuncture therapy.
