Duration:
Each course is for 1 day running from 9:45am to 5pm.

This is a 1 or 2 day Moxa course Covering Chinese moxa on one day and Japanese moxa on another day (each day booked separately).

Chinese Moxa includes a full equipment kit including various high quality Chinese smokeless moxa, moxa spoon, jet flame lighter, needle moxa, tray, water jar and other items (RRP £48).
Japanese moxa includes a full equipment kit including high quality Japanese punk moxa, lighter, tray, and Shiunko cream (RRP £29).

Acupuncture and non-acupuncture moxa techniques are included in this course and various types of moxa are covered, this includes loose moxa (punk), stick on moxa, moxa sticks, moxa boxes, moxa plasters, moxa rollers and infra red moxa lamps.
Treatment protocols included on the course include; the use of ginger and other heat dampeners and practice of Japanese hand rolling moxa techniques. We discuss use of smoke and smokeless moxa.
Assessment is by observation of each student performing the therapy during the practical sessions to establish safe practice. Each student must be observed practising correct, safe, protocol in order to be deemed safe to practice and gain a full certificate. (equates to 6 or 12 hours CPD depending which courses are attended).
Optional Diploma Available (equates to 26/32 hours CPD).

We require the student to be a current practicing therapist and hold a manual therapy level 3 or equivalent diploma qualification.
You must be 18 years or older and understand spoken and written English.
You must consent to giving and receiving acupuncture therapy.
